MobileVoIP app: forgot password or username
The MobileVoIP app itself has no accounts: every login belongs to the brand (provider) you registered with. That is why a password reset works only at that brand, and why so many people get "unknown e-mail" on the reset page. Here is how to find your way back.
Step 1: find out which brand your login belongs to
Open the app and look at the login screen or at Settings: the brand you registered with is shown there (for example VoipStunt, 12Voip, Rynga, VoipBuster, Nonoh, or MobileVoIP.net). The app's Forgot Credentials button sends you to that brand's own website.
If you no longer remember the brand, think of the website where you last bought credit; the e-mail receipt of that purchase names it.
Step 2: reset the password at that brand
On the brand's website use Forgot password and enter the e-mail address you registered with. The reset link goes to that address.
For an account created on MobileVoIP.net: use our Forgot password page for the website password, and read or reset the app (VoIP) password under My VoIP accounts after logging in. Remember that the app login is the full username ending with *1.
The reset page says my e-mail or username is unknown
This happens when you type the wrong brand's page, a different e-mail than the one you registered with, or an e-mail address that no longer exists. Without the registered e-mail no brand can prove the account is yours, so the account cannot be recovered. This is the same for every brand of the app, and we cannot see or reset accounts of other brands either.
The fast way: a new account that works in the same app
If the old account is out of reach, create a free account on MobileVoIP.net: it takes two minutes and works in the MobileVoIP app you already have, on Android, iPhone and Windows. Buy credit from €5 and log in to the app with your new username (it ends with *1) and password. Create a free account →
Credit left on an old account of another brand cannot be moved; only that brand can help with it.
Questions
Can MobileVoIP.net reset the password of my VoipStunt / 12Voip / Rynga account?
No. Accounts of other brands of the MobileVoIP app are not ours: we cannot see them, reset their passwords or move their credit. Use "Forgot password" on that brand's website.
I registered years ago and my e-mail from then no longer exists. What now?
Without the registered e-mail the account cannot be recovered. The quickest way to call again is a new free account on MobileVoIP.net, which works in the same app.
Why does the app refuse my username?
The app login is the full username including its ending, for example name*1 for MobileVoIP.net accounts. The name alone is refused.
