MobileVoIP "Call ended (587)"
Code 587 is not a network error: the provider refused to connect the call. There are four usual reasons, and all of them can be checked in a few minutes.
1. The account has no credit
The balance shown in the app can be outdated: log out of the app and in again. For a MobileVoIP.net account, the exact balance of each VoIP account is under My VoIP accounts on the website. Credit bought on the website goes to the VoIP account chosen at checkout, so make sure the app is logged in with that username (it ends with *1).
2. The Caller ID is not verified
Since 2025 many destinations accept calls only from a verified Caller ID; calls without one, or with an unverified number, are refused. In the app open Settings → Caller ID, enter your own mobile number and verify it with the code (SMS or a short call). Then make sure it is selected.
3. The account is blocked
An account is blocked after a chargeback, or automatically when it makes an unusual number of short calls in 24 hours (robot-like traffic). An automatic block is lifted after one day the first time. If you think your account is blocked by mistake, write to us with your username and tell us who you called and why; we look into it.
4. A "national" call in an EU country
Calling a country with a Caller ID of that same country (a Hungarian number calling Hungary, for example) is increasingly refused by EU operators, or delivered with another number. Use a verified Caller ID of another country for those calls, or none (Caller ID menu in the app).
Still 587?
Dial the full international number (+ or 00, country code, number without its first 0) and check that the destination is on the Prices page. If it still fails, send us your username (never the password) and the number dialled through the contact form. For an account of another brand, contact that brand: we cannot see it. More help →
Questions
Is 587 a problem with my phone or internet?
No. 587 means the provider refused the call: no credit, unverified Caller ID, blocked account or a refused national call. A bad connection gives dropped or silent calls, not 587.
I just bought credit and still get 587.
Log out of the app and in again with the username the credit was bought for (it ends with *1), then verify your Caller ID in Settings → Caller ID.
How long does a block last?
An automatic block is lifted after one day the first time and longer on repeats. A block after a chargeback stays until the dispute is settled.
